The programme enables schools to model the restoration of habitats at a national level. It is our aim that these micro initiatives will build together to create something of national impact.
We envisage a rich tapestry of school-based mini meadows in the future. The training will give teachers the opportunity to plan the creation of a mini wildflower garden.
We will also provide information on how to order the plug plants to plant in their designated area in order to make the process as easy as possible for schools to engage with.
This is a long-lasting project that will give children responsibility and agency in caring for nature whilst providing a resource to develop an understanding of the concept of biodiversity and the variety of living things in their local area.
